Swimming: There are some lovely beaches in the area, in particular, Crinan has a stunning beach where the Atlantic waters can be a touch warmer than elsewhere!

Cycling:

Mountain Cycling can be hazardous, please take all precautions. Argyll is surrounded in woodland and lochs which could keep you cycling on a different track every day for years to come. Here are a few of the most popular cycling routes:

Crinan Canal Trail (Easy), The Crinan Canal is approximately 9 miles long and perfectly flat. It is a popular routes for families and casual cyclists;

Fire Tower Trail (Intermediate/Difficult), The Fire Tower Trail is a purpose built mountain bike track with a long hard forestry climb linking on to some fantastic single track which includes jumps, drop-offs and a section of raised wooden platform;

Forestry Commission Trail (Easy/Intermediate), The Forestry Commission have numerous tracks all over the area; these tracks are predominantly made up of forestry roads and tend to be a bit hilly.
