Tarbert Seafood Festival

Tarbert Seafood Festival has been regularly held since 1967. The festival is usually held during July. Many stalls are erected along the Harbour Street. You should park your vehicle away from this street as it usually overflows with visitors, street performers and cooking stalls. The visitors can sample the deliciously cooked Scottish seafood while exploring the other stalls lining the Harbour Street. You will find the vendors selling everything from hand made crafts to souvenirs. The music is loud, may be live and plentiful. The entire Harbour Street is well decorated and there is no admission fee. This year's festival will be held in June/July, 2007.

Tunnock's Tour of Mull Rally

Tunnock's Tour of Mull Rally is organised by the 2300 Club, a group of motor sport enthusiasts based in Blackburn, Lancashire, England, UK. This event is held every October on the Isle of Mull, Argyll, Scotland.

The car rally is held annually, the event is open to anybody who would like to have a go in the appropriate vehicle. The event runs from Friday Evening to Sunday morning in three discrete sections. The cars compete against the clock over the public roads which are closed to the public during the event.

West Highland Tennis Championships

West Highland Tennis Championships, locally known as Oban Tennis Tournament will be held on July, 2007.

This tournament caters for all levels of ability in tennis and for a wide age range. the Gents and Ladies Championship Singles are part of the SLTA Senior Grand Prix. The Junior events cater for juniors 6.1 and above rating. The Veterans' day is a relaxed friendly day with coffee and scones to start then lots of good competition, and home baking all through the day. Handicap events give non championship players the chance to do well.

There are five (5) courts; three (3) artificial grass, and two (2) hard courts. The social side of the tournament is considered very important and they put on different events in the evenings: quiz, bbq, council reception, wine and cheese welcome. Bell Lawrie Scottish Series Yacht race

The Bell Lawrie Scottish Series Yacht Race (also known locally as Tarbert Boat Race) is the premier sailing event in Scotland and it is the second largest sailing series in the United Kingdom. The Series is organized by the Clyde Cruising Club and its Scottish Series Yacht Race has now become one of the biggest events in the British Yachting calendar. The race is usually held in May/ June every year. The next race will be on May 25 - 28, 2007.

Tarbert is proud of a beautiful natural harbour which is now well maintained, well equipped with permanent pontoons and moorings, well provided with showers and toilets. More than 300 boats usually participate in various boating events. If you need more information, visit their web site.
